The CRO and Pharma Business Development Executive is part of the Compumedics US business team and reports directly to the Business Development Manager, based in New Zealand.
This role requires strong clinical and technical capabilities, a good understanding of GCP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify and engage the target customers to ultimately select the Compumedics Sleep and EEG hardware and SaaS solutions for their research requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Compumedics Sleep and EEG hardware, software and SaaS product offering.
- Develop and maintain a CRM database of potential Pharma and CRO clients, their new product pipelines and sleep and EEG related requirements.
- Attend appropriate Pharma/CRO exhibitions, seminars and events to promote the Compumedics capabilities and to identify and secure new clients.
- Instigate contact with new potential Pharma/CRO customers, present the Compumedics product and capabilities and secure their business.
- Negotiate scope of services, pricing and contractual terms for all new customers in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and CFO.
- Personally onboard and train all new Pharma/CRO customers on Compumedics product and capabilities.
- Personally train CRO and study site staff, where required.
- Provide reliable visibility on new opportunities and revenue forecasts vis CMP CRM system.
- Maintain existing client relationships, ensuring we maintain a preferred partner status and continue to be the preferred solutions partner for their Sleep and EEG monitoring requirements.
Role Requirements:
- Experienced with the CRO clinical trials management process and Pharma drug development processes with a reasonable understanding of GCP.
- An independent minded, self-motivated, experienced Business Development Executive (minimum 5 years in a similar role preferred) who is confident and capable of engaging the Pharma/CRO Device Technologies decision makers with Compumedics solutions.
- Personally efficient with very good presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and manage time effectively.
- US East Coast based.
Role Experience Requirement:
- Minimum of 5+ years Business development targeting Pharma/CRO organisations with clinical trials hardware, software or SaaS solutions.
- High level of computer literacy including Microsoft 365 suite and CRM.
Travel Required:
- Required to Travel interstate within the US and Canada (Up to 40% of the time)
- Required to do some International Travel (Up to 10% of the time)
- Required to have a valid Driver’s License
