Job Reference: AEC/East Coast

Account Executive: New Jersey, NYC & Long Island (Sleep & Neurodiagnostics)

Compumedics USA | Territory: NJ, NYC, Long Island | Field-based / Home office

Own a territory selling technology that shapes how clinicians diagnose sleep disorders and neurological conditions: not a commodity, a category leader.

About Compumedics

Nearly four decades at the forefront of sleep and neurodiagnostic technology. Founded in 1987, listed on the ASX (CMP), with our US commercial headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Our portfolio spans:

  • Clinical-grade PSG and home sleep testing (Somfit, Falcon HST)
  • EEG amplifiers (Grael, Okti)
  • Ambulatory monitoring
  • Profusion, Nexus 360, and CURRY software platforms

Used in leading academic medical centers and community hospitals nationwide. We compete on diagnostic integrity, clinical depth, and outcomes, not price.

The Role

We’re hiring an Account Executive to own and grow the New Jersey, NYC, and Long Island territory across both our sleep diagnostics and Neurodiagnostics product lines.

This is capital equipment and software sales with a consultative, clinical-depth approach. You’ll call on sleep labs, HST providers, hospital neurology departments, and community neurology practices, guiding providers through complex decisions on technology that directly affects patient care.

You’ll manage the full sales cycle: building pipeline, running product demonstrations, navigating hospital procurement, closing capital deals, and expanding existing accounts. You’ll stay current on clinical trends in sleep medicine and neurophysiology and bring real insight to every customer conversation.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone genuinely passionate about sleep and/or EEG, with clinical curiosity to match. If you’ve spent time in a sleep lab or Neurodiagnostics environment, understand the clinical workflow, and get energized talking shop with RPSGTs, neurologists, and sleep physicians, you’ll thrive here.

Proven capital equipment sales experience in medtech, ideally in sleep diagnostics, Neurodiagnostics, or a related clinical specialty

  • A structured sales process: prospecting, clinical discovery, stakeholder alignment, closing
  • Proficiency with CRM software and standard productivity tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation & negotiation capabilities.
  • Self-directed work style with strong organizational and time-management skills in a remote setting.
  • The ability to demo complex diagnostic hardware and software with clinical credibility
  • A track record of building an accurate pipeline and hitting targets
  • Strong account management instincts and relationship-building across clinical and administrative stakeholders
  • A commitment to staying engaged post-sale, partnering with clinical/technical support, operations, and customer support to drive long-term account success

Clinical background? Apply. Sleep techs, EEG techs, and neurodiagnostic professionals with strong industry networks and a passion for teaching are strongly encouraged to apply.

Your clinical credibility and relationships are a genuine competitive advantage here, and we have an experienced team in place to support your transition and training.

New York metro/New Jersey market experience and existing relationships with sleep programs or neurology departments. What matters most is your ability to open doors, earn clinical trust, and close business.

Why Compumedics

  • A portfolio with real clinical differentiation, not a commodity play
  • Global R&D backing, with 15%+ of revenue reinvested annually
  • A growing US team with a clear commercial strategy and executive support
  • Represent technology that’s contributed to sleep and neuro research worldwide, including NASA mission preparation and major epilepsy centers
  • Competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission plan
